제1조

논문 원고는 온라인 투고시스템에서 제공되는 템플릿을 활용하여 작성되어야 하며, 총 20 페이지 이내로 한다. 이를 초과할 경우 편집위원회에서 이의 수정을 요청할 수 있다.<2019.12.13.개정>

제2조

논문 원고는 한글 전용, 한글과 한자 혼용 또는 영문 전용으로 작성하고, 의미에 혼동이 일어날 소지가 있을 경우에는 (　) 안에 원어를 병기할 수 있다.

제3조

논문의 내용은 다음 순서에 따르는 것을 원칙으로 한다.<2019.12.13.개정>

1. 국문제목, 국문저자명(직위포함) 및 국문소속기관
2. 영문제목, 영문저자명(직위포함) 및 영문소속기관
3. 국문 및 영문 요약
4. 주요 기술용어(Keywords) : Keywords의 첫 글자는 대문자로 표기하며, 다음 단어는 소문자로 한다.
   예) Transformer bushing, Insulation cover, TGA, FT-IR
5. 서론
6. 본문(이론, 실험방법, 결과, 결과의 해석, 고찰)
7. 결론
8. 참고문헌
9. 부록, 기타

제4조

표지에는 원고의 제목(국문 및 영문), 저자명(국문 및 영문), 소속기관 및 부서(국문 및 영문), 주소 등을 명기한다.

1. 교신저자는 위첨자로 †표시를 하고, 논문이 단일 저자인 경우는 논문저자 표기시 교신저자를 나타내는 †표시를 하지 않으며, 논문 첫 페이지 하단에 교신저자의 영문 정보를 표시한다 (예시, Corresponding Author, E-Mail : kifse@daum.net, TEL:+82-2-555-2450 / +82-2-555-2452, FAX:+82-2-3453-5855).
2. 저자가 2인 이상이고 소속기관이 다를 경우 성명의 뒤에 *, **, *** 등으로 구분하여 표기한다.
   예) 김소방*, 박예방**, 이화재***, 정방재^†

제5조

제목은 간략하고, 내용을 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 정한다. 제목이 25자를 넘을 때는, 제목에 생략명을 사용하고 본문에서 생략명을 설명한다.

제6조

국문 요약은 본문을 참조하지 않더라도 내용을 파악할 수 있도록 500자 이내로 정리한다. 요약문은 서술식으로 쓰며 요약문에는 그림과 표를 포함해서는 안 된다.

제7조

영문 요약(ABSTRACT)에는 국문 초록의 내용, 5개 이내의 Keywords를 포함한다. ABSTRACT는 논문인 경우 300 단어 이내로 한다.

제8조

본문

1. 본문의 항목은, 대항목 1, 중항목 1.1, 소항목 1.1.1, 이하 (1), (a)로 한다.
   예) 1. 전기안전의 융합 기술
   1.1 전기설비의 정기 점검
   1.1.1 자가용 설비의 정기 점검
   (1) 년차 점검
   ...
2. 문장의 용어는 투고 당시의 표준어를 사용하여 간결하게 표현한다. 외래어중 인명은 원칙적으로 원어로 쓰고, 이미 관용화된 지명, 약품명, 용어 등은 가능한 한 한글로 쓴다.
3. 단위는 원칙적으로 국제단위계(SI)를 이용하고, 기호, 용어는 가능한 한 최근 이용되고 있는 것을 사용한다. 또, 본문 중에 사용하는 단위에는 대괄호 [ ]를 덧붙이지 않는다.
4. 수식은 논리의 전개에 필요한 최소한으로 하고, 나머지 전개 과정은 생략한다.
5. 본문 중에 들어가는 수식은 a/(c＋d), exp(kt) 등, 1행으로 표현하도록 한다.
6. 본문 중에 사용되는 기호 및 부호, 첨자 등은 알기 쉽게 별개 항목으로 표시하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.
7. Figure(사진)는 그림 하나마다 1쪽으로 하고 하단에 왼쪽 정렬로 Figure 1 ~ . 와 같이 번호와 Figure 제목을 넣는다. 그림의 크기는 7 × 7 cm로 하여 축소 후에도 명료하게 읽을 수 있도록 작성하여야 한다. Figure 제목과 내용은 모두 영어로 작성하며 제목의 끝에 “.”을 찍는다. 또한 본문에서도 Figure ~ 로 표기한다.
   예) Figure 1. Surface changes of insulation cover by temperature.
8. 사진은 명료해야 하며, Figure와 같이 취급한다.
9. Table은 본문에 같이 삽입한다. Table의 번호는, Table 1 ~로 하고, Table의 번호 및 제목은 표의 상부에 왼쪽 정렬로 쓴다. Table 제목과 내용은 모두 영어로 작성하며, 매 단어의 첫 글자를 대문자로 하되 관사와 전치사는 소문자로 하고, 제목 끝에 “.”를 찍지 않는다.
   예) Table 1. Sizes Insulating Covers of Pole Transformer Bushings

제9조

각주를 사용하는 경우는, 본문 중의 각주를 붙이는 곳을 *로 나타내고, 각주는 *를 붙인 것과 하부를 횡선으로 가르고, 그 하부에 구별해서 쓴다. 각주는 가능한 간결한 문장으로 쓰고, 장문의 것은 부록 또는 참고문헌으로 처리함으로써 논문의 명확성을 보여주도록 한다.

제10조 (참고문헌)

1. 문헌을 인용하는 경우는 1), 2)와 같이 문헌 번호를 본문 중의 문헌을 인용하는 곳에 기입하고, 원고의 마지막 부분에 일괄해서 나타낸다.
2. 참고문헌은 반듯이 영문으로 작성한다.
3. 참고문헌의 표기는 다음 방식을 따른다.
   ○ 정기간행물:
   저자명, “제목명”, 학술지명, 권, 호, 페이지번호, (발간년도).
   ○ 단행본:
   저자명, “서명”, 권번호, 출판사명, 출판사 소재지, 페이지번호, (발간년도).
   
4. 저자명은 성(Family name)만 전체 표기하고 나머지는 초성(Initial name)으로 표기한다.
5. 저자수가 8명 이하인 경우 전체 저자를 모두 기재하고 8명을 초과하는 경우 8명까지 기재 후 et al.으로 표기합니다.

Fire Science & Engineering (FSE) is the official journal of Korean Institute of Fire Science & Engineering (KIFSE). The journal classifies research into the following main fields within the fire science and engineering:

• Fire chemistry and physics
• Fire dynamics
• Detection and suppression system
• Evacuation and human behavior
• Fire safety design & management
• Assessment of fire risk
• Fire investigation
• Fire safety legislation
• Rescue and EMS
• Additional fields related to fire safety

Submissions from other fields of fire science and engineering, and from other areas within the fields above, are welcome. Papers are assessed only with regard to quality and their potential for fundamental and generic contribution to fire science and technology.

Submission of Manuscripts

Manuscripts should be submitted via the online manuscript submission system of KIFSE (http://acoms1.kisti.re.kr/ksfst). The corresponding author is required to sign an Author’s check list and a Copyright transfer agreement on behalf of all authors during the submission process. The forms of Author’s check list and Copyright transfer agreement can be found via the journal or homepage of KIFSE.

Authorship and Ethical Issues

For the policies on the research and publication ethics not stated in this guide, international standards for editors and authors (http://publicationethics.org/international-standards-editors-and- authors) can be applied.

Types of Publication

Full length papers should be complete and authoritative accounts of work which have special significance, general interest and which are presented clearly and concisely. All papers should be classified into research paper and fusion paper.
Authors are requested to follow these introductions carefully to ensure that the review and publication of the article are swift and efficient. Manuscript will be returned to the authors if they are not presented according to these instructions.

Peer-Review

All manuscripts are peer-reviewed by at least 3 anonymous reviewers selected by the editor. The corresponding author is notified as soon as possible of the editor’s decision to accept, reject, or request revision of manuscripts. When the final revised manuscript is completely acceptable according to the format and criteria of the FSE, it is scheduled for publication in the next available issue. Rejected papers will not be peer-reviewed again.

Revision of Manuscripts

A manuscript mailed back to the author for revision should be returned to the KIFSE editorial office within 30 days. Otherwise, it will be considered withdrawn and treated as a new manuscript when and if it is resubmitted.

Page Proofs

Galley proof along with the original manuscript are sent to the author who submitted the manuscript. The proof should be checked against the manuscript (in particular, all table, equations and formula) and returned to the FSE editorial board as soon as possible.

Publication Charge

The publication fee is ￦270,000 or ￦180,000 Won for a manuscript less than 6 pages with or without acknowledgement(s), respectively. If the manuscript exceeds 6 pages, then an extra charge of ￦40,000 or ￦50,000 per a page will be charged for additional pages for the manuscript of 7-8 pages or more than 9 pages, respectively. There is an additional charge of ￦60,000 for the cost of reviewing and processing the manuscript. Authors will be invoiced by the society after the manuscript is published in the journal.

Preparation of manuscripts

General formatting

• A manuscript should be prepared using “manuscript template” provided by this Journal, and not be exceed 20 pages based on A4 size.
• A manuscript should in general be organized in the following order: title, name(s) of author(s) and his/her(their) complete affiliation(s) written in both Korean and English, abstracts written in both Korean and English, keywords written in English, introduction, main body of paper including figures and tables, conclusions, acknowledgements, reference and appendices.

Essential title page information

• Title: Concise and informative.
• Corresponding author should be marked using †. Ensure that e-mail address, telephone and fax number are provided in the lower left hand corner of the title page (example: Corresponding Author. E-mail: kifse@daum.net, TEL:+82-2-555- 2450, FAX:+82-2-3453-5855).
• Author names and affiliations: if there are two or more authors and different affiliations, marks such as *, **, *** can be used (example: So-Bang Kim*, So-Bang Park**, So-Bang Lee***, So-Bang Hwang†).

Abstract · A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract written in Korean should not exceed 500 words. In addition, figures and tables should be avoided. · The abstract written in English should not exceed 300 words and a maximum of 5 keywords should be provided. Main body of paper

• Unit: The SI system of units should be used throughout.
• Table: Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text. All tables should be referred to in the text. (example: Table 1. Sizes Insulating Covers of Pole Transformer Bushings)
• Figure: All figures should be presented with high quality when the figure size was reduced as 7×7 cm.
• Figure captions: Ensure that each illustration has a caption. A caption should comprise a brief title and be written in English. Also, each figure should be referred as ‘Figure ~’ in the text. (example: Figure 1. Surface changes of insulation cover by temperature.)

References

• All references cited in the text must appear in the References section, and all items in this section should be cited in the text as form of (1), (2), etc.
• References should be written in English.
• Follow the style shown by the examples below.
